Custom Reporting
How Does Custom Reporting Work?
There are two ways to create your custom Molson Coors corporate responsibility report. You can browse the Responsibility section of our website and select Add to My Report for topics that interest you; or, you can go to our custom report builder (link to report builder page) and check the box next to each topic to prepare a report built just for you.
Our Approach
Reporting Scope
We update our corporate responsibility performance on an annual basis and our online report feature allows for customized reporting for each reader. The 2011 report covers quantitative data for the calendar year 2010 with additional qualitative material from previous years.
The reporting scope is global and covers Molson Coors Brewing Company’s business units: Molson Coors Canada, Molson Coors (UK & Ireland), MillerCoors in the US, and Molson Coors International.
Molson Coors International (MCI) has a production and sales presence in Asia, continental Europe, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean (excluding Puerto Rico which is part of the MillerCoors business). Going forward we will report our performance for operations where we hold a majority interest (China and India). This year we are reporting water and energy data for our owned operations in China and India.
In September 2010, a joint venture agreement was finalized in China with Hebei Si'hai Beer Company, giving us a 51% share of the newly formed Molson Coors Si'hai Brewing (China) Co., Ltd. In June 2011, a joint venture agreement was finalized in India with Cobra India, giving us a 51% share and operational control of the newly formed Molson Coors Cobra India.
The rest of our international business is conducted through license agreements with other brewers and independent distributors. All products sold in continental Europe are brewed by and exported from our U.K. breweries.
In July 2008, Molson Coors and SABMiller plc combined US and Puerto Rico operations to form a joint venture called MillerCoors LLC. For financial reporting under US accounting standards, MillerCoors LLC is accounted for by us under the equity method.
Therefore, MillerCoors' revenues and expenses are not reported in Molson Coors' consolidated results. Molson Coors does receive and report 42% of the net profits of MillerCoors (while our partner in MillerCoors, SABMiller, receives 58% of the net profits). In 2009 and beyond, Molson Coors will report no revenues from US and Puerto Rico operations. We report 42% of MillerCoors’ corporate responsibility data.
As you read about our responsibility programs and challenges, we want to hear from you. We welcome your feedback about our reporting, scope and priorities for the future.
